Surge Suppression Incorporated ® and our affiliated companies, are manufacturers of a complete line of quality Transient Voltage Surge Suppression devices for AC and DC power, data and telecommunications. We started business in 1982 as an independent distributor of TVSS devices. Over the years, we provided both quality TVSS devices and quality service to our customers. Due to the original TVSS manufacturer’s sale to a foreign corporation, we decided to found Surge Suppression Incorporated ®. The stated purpose was the manufacture of TVSS devices of superior quality and performance which would exceed the standards of the products we sold before. Surge Suppression Incorporated ® and our affiliated companies share the same staff, offices and manufacturing facility. Each company is separate and distinct and markets to different market segments.

An affiliate company was awarded a 2.8 million dollar contract with the U.S. Navy in 2001 to provide TVSS devices for shipboard applications. They have also provided TVSS devices for a number of U.S. Navy, U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force bases throughout the United States and overseas.

Surge Suppression Incorporated ® continues to supply the commercial and industrial segments of the market and is involved with electrical power utilities on a joint effort to supply TVSS devices to their residential and commercial customers. We are working with several original equipment manufacturers to include our TVSS devices as an integral part of their products. We also manufacture a line of Integrated Panels that include a load center, a transfer switch (manual or automatic) and integral TVSS. Additionally we provide electrical power quality analysis and recommendations for solutions to power quality problems. Surge Suppression Incorporated ® has developed working relationships with a large number of engineering firms and is currently listed as the approved TVSS manufacturer on all current and future project design bid specs for those firms.

Surge Suppression Incorporated ® is a major contract supplier of TVSS products and services to Verizon Wireless. We are also a supplier of Network Approved TVSS products for Cingular Wireless.
   

Surge Suppression Incorporated ® has been a manufacturer and supplier of quaility TVSS systems since 1982. Our experience in design, application, and service has led to the development of the most advanced surge suppression equipment on the market today... it's called the "Advantage Series" (TM).

By making use of our "Optimal Response Circuitry" (TM) technology these devices are years ahead of any other surge suppression device on the market today.
   

Data/Telecom

 Data communications lines and current loops are the very lifeblood of today’s highly integrated systems and networks. The loss of these essential circuits will bring your processes to a halt.

Often overlooked in a system wide protection system, data and telecom circuits and related equipment are extremely vulnerable to transient damage. Unlike AC power equipment, which is somewhat buffered by power distribution components and power supplies, data and telecom lines are connected directly to sensitive “board-level" electronics. These components will suffer catastrophic failure when exposed to even low level transient voltage surges.  Protecting these vital circuits is another key element of the properly conceived and installed facility wide protection plan.
